A Bit About Us...
Look Chic, Dress Smart, Wear So.NAEY
Our Founder
So.NAEY was established in 2019 and founded by Sonia Kaur Bamrah. Sonia started working in the fashion industry through internships from the age of 14.
"Fashion always gave me butterflies. I remember when I was a little girl and I'd save my lunch money to spend it on the latest edition of Vogue magazines. It made me so happy to see all these inspiring designers".
The Manchester born designer qualified at the University for the Creative Arts, completing her Bachelor of Arts with Honours in Fashion Design. She later worked for the Haute Couture brand Ralph & Russo and Burberry before deciding to create So.NAEY.
Our Story
With over a decade of experience in the fashion industry Sonia felt there was a gap in the market for her styles. She travelled around Asia to find talented manufacturers to make her occasion-wear.
So.NAEY was showcased at Leicester Fashion Week a day before launching in November 2019. On the day of launch Jess Wright (TOWIE) wore our signature co-ord set to the ITV Palooza.
In 2020 when the world hit the slow-down button, we also adapted our brand to provide women with week-to-weekend wear.
What Does So.NAEY Mean?
The name ” So.NAEY” derives from the Punjabi word Sonē which means gold.
In honour of Sonia's grandfather, she named the business So.NAEY as this was the nickname given to her by him.
Pronounced As: So (Pause) Nay
